What is an Independent Manufacturers' Representative?

Independent manufacturers’ representatives provide an outsource for sales and marketing for multiple manufacturers of non-competing products.  Unlike direct sales agents, manufacturers’ representatives are not paid until they sell something, providing a fixed and often reduced cost of sales for the manufacturer.  This allows manufacturers to provide quality products and services at competitive prices.  Also, manufacturers enjoy the advantage of intimate knowledge of our territory and long-term relationships with our customers and distributors.    

Manufacturers’ representatives do not take title of the goods they sell.
