PLP's Line of Insulators Made in the USA

CBM is proud to represent Preformed Line Products, PLP.  PLP is a worldwide designer, manufacturer, and supplier of high-quality cable anchoring and control hardware and systems, fiber optic and copper splice closures, and high-speed cross-connect devices.

PLP’s distribution business includes their INSULIGN® family of polymer insulators.  The INSULIGN® family consists of Tie Top, Vise Top, Spool Type, and Line Post insulators.

The Tie Top Insulators meet applicable ANSI C29.5 and C29.6 insulator standards.  The polymer insulators provide superior moisture shedding, high impact resistance, and the polymer is UV stabilized.  The tie top insulators are offered in A, C, F, and J neck designs in 1” and 1 3/8” pin constructions.  PLP also offers a Neutral Pin Type insulator in white.  The bright white color is ideal for differentiating the neutral from the phase conductors and is easily identifiable from the ground and in low-light conditions.

PLP’s Vise Top insulator is made from the same material as their Tie Top insulators.  Each insulator is supplied with two torque bolts that are molded from a proprietary glass-filled material.  The insulators can come with nylon, aluminum, or bronze inserts making them ideal for use with jacketed or bare aluminum and copper conductors.

PLP also offers a Spool Type polymer insulator as well as a Line Post Insulator.

All insulators are Made in the USA, and every insulator is inspected for voids and imperfections using an x-ray before leaving the factory floor.
