We have all seen what moisture, water, and mice can do to critical cables in cabinets or ducts out in the everyday elements. These could all be prevented with ease by just using Polywater AFT two-part foam! No more putty or using insulating spray foam from a local hardware store that usually doesn’t set up.
Polywater’s AFT sprayable duct sealant expands and cures within minutes unlike the insulating spray foam that can take weeks or longer. Within minutes the Polywater ATF will create a rigid, airtight, and watertight seal. Polywater's AFT is compatible with all cable jackets and will bond with a variety of materials such as conduits, riser poles, u-guards, raceway entrance and more. This is a semi-permanent solution and designed for longevity and is re-enterable and removable.
Polywater® AFT™ Sealant also will blocks gas in electrical and telecommunication environments. The two-part, closed-cell AFT Sealant is durable and seals conduits with quick, easy installation. The two-part aerosol seals any size void and cures without additional moisture or exposure to air. AFT expands and cures to a rigid, closed-cell structure in minutes, creating an airtight, watertight seal. AFT protects from insects, rodents, moisture, dust, and gases. The package is reusable, and the seal is fire retardant.
To install AFT, insert dam about 6 inches into the conduit. Shake can for 60 seconds to mix. Lift hinge and insert dispensing nozzle so that it lines up with hinge arrow. Invert can and insert nozzle into the seal space. Squeeze hinge to spray sealant between cables. The hinge must be fully depressed and foam should be a uniform color. Fill conduit three-fourths full. Place a dam on the outside of conduit to allow the foam to fully expand around all the cables and fully fill the conduit. It takes about 2 to 3 minutes for foam to fully rise.
