Phil, thanks for joining us. Thanks for having me. Thanks for joining us. I'm glad you got to get out of the office today and come down. What's your thoughts of the match show today? It looks great. I like the show versus last year. It seems like the layout's better. Yeah, I'd agree. Yeah, we got a great spot here for CBM. Yeah, it's looking good. Good. Just wanted to get you on quick and just highlight, you know, Phil Kinslow. So,
00:29
Been with us three years inside sales in our communication group. Right. How's it been? How you been? It's been good. It's been an experience. Learning a lot. You know, I came into this industry not cold. I did have some experience and some procurement within the telecommunications world. So I had a little bit of understanding of telecommunication companies and the needs that they have.
00:59
on this side of it, it's a little bit different. So it's, like I said, it's been a learning experience, had a lot of good teachers and support. What's your favorite thing and what's one thing you need us to improve on? My favorite thing about CBM? Yeah. My favorite thing about CBM is the team. We just got a great team. Everybody is pulling for each other. Yeah. Nobody's got too big of an ego to help you out.
01:28
It doesn't really matter what your job title is. Job title is somebody's going to be there to support you, build you up, teach you something, and make you better. Yeah, and that's one thing that I think comes from our ESOP. We're not commission-based, so it's no big deal if somebody's got to be out of their territory for a day to help somebody out. And I think that's one of the things that makes us unique. What's one thing that you would
01:58
just want your customers to know about. You know, I don't know that we do a great job of showcasing our inside folks, you know, to the customers. You probably have your own little realm of people you deal with a lot, but like, I don't think the general, you know, our general customers really know a lot about Phil. So that's just one of the reasons why I wanted to get you on and highlight you a little bit. So. Yeah, I think one thing that our outside customers probably don't.
02:28
understand or don't see is how excited we get when we win. Not only personally, but also as a team. Inside sales at times can have a look and feel like it's, like just kind of sending emails, taking phone calls, customer service, which those are all part of the job, but we're also salespeople. We get excited about helping a customer.
02:58
with a solution, getting the solution that they need to help their customer in turn. All those things are what we get excited about. Same thing that drives us from the outside. You feel it behind the desk in the office. Yeah, absolutely. Yeah. So tell me about one of your most impactful mentors that you've had. Great question. Sadly, she's no longer here with CBN.
03:24
Thankfully, she's still alive. Yeah. OK, yeah. But Marlene Casillo was a person that had a lot of experience at CBM. She was kind of the heart and soul, I would say, especially inside the office. She knew a little bit of everything and a lot of some things. But one thing she taught me was really how to develop good relationships with our customers. From her perspective, she was a great person.
03:54
I've been able to develop customer relationships with other jobs I've had in the past. This is a little different. The needs are a little different. So she helped me a lot for the first two to two and a half years before she retired as a CBM ESOP. How many times have you talked to a distributor and you hear nothing but great things about Marlene, right? Yeah.
04:19
I'm glad you were able to work with her for a couple of years, you know, before she left. She was with us for, you know, what, 27? Yeah, 26, 27 years. Yeah, a long time. Absolutely wonderful. We love her to death. We wish her well. We're, you know, we're glad she's getting to retire and spend some time with family and so on. But it's great that you, you know, got to spend some time with her as well. So that's awesome. And just to follow up, I've had many mentors, I think also,
04:48
You probably want to hear this too. Thank you. you've helped me to see things from a slightly different perspective. Of course, Brett, my boss, Brett Cooper,
05:16
But also some of the other guys, Richard Durfee, Jeff Kimmel, Mike Taylor, we've got all these guys on the team that have a wealth of knowledge in the telecommunications industry alone. So it's hard not to learn something from each one of you. Yeah, you know, and we owe it to you to be more deliberate, you know, to help you grow and move along in that path too. And, you know, sometimes it's hard to see the trees.
05:45
through the forest. But I think everybody's working, everybody's interested in growing, growing the business, growing themselves individually. And no, we're just, frankly, we're grateful to have you on the team. We look forward to many more years. We look forward to watching you grow and succeed within the company. And anything you need, you know we've always got your back. I know that for sure. Awesome, thank you so much. Thanks, Tim.
